Client Review on A J Tag Agency
Feedback:
At the end of last year I bought a brand new outboard from a dealer with all the necessary documents, notarized and everything, and they wouldn't register it. Went to a different tag agency and it was done in less than 2 minutes. Had another issue today regarding notarization, must be a new policy because it was never an issue with a motorcycle, used outboard, and two cars within the last 1.5 years. Then they look at you like you're a criminal trying to register a stolen vehicle or something. They looked at the title and asked me "who's _____ (seller)?" Uh, he's the seller? His name is to the right of the word "seller", therefore that would be the person I bought the vehicle from. Freaking genius. As a federal law enforcement officer who has lived in CO, MT, and OK, I find all this absolutely ridiculous. The DMV in OK has major issues and many of the employees at these tag agencies definitely aren't helping this perception. It's not that hard to forge a signature or stamp, and a tag office employee has no way of knowing. They need to just do their job and let law enforcement handle issues with illegal activity, instead of pissing off law abiding citizens who are just trying to get their vehicle registered. I don't know what it is but it's almost like the job gives them some authority complex since they can accept or deny whether someone gets a title transferred or not.
