Overall Feedback:
AVOID THIS COMPANY AND AGENCY. I had my motorcycle, house and car insurance with these people. The first problem was partly my fault. I had auto pay and when I changed banks I forgot to add them to the new bank. The first time I knew there was a problem was when I received a notice from Calder that my insurance had been canceled and I had been without insurance for 4 days for nonpayment. I was charged a health fee to reinstate the policies. A phone call notifying me that there was a problem would have been appreciated before they cancelled the policy When I bought a new motorcycle I added it to my policy and, pending the sale of my old bike, had both on the policy. When I sold the old bike I called and canceled the coverage on it. I was told that the remainder of the premiums would be applied as a credit at renewal. When the renewal bill came with no credit I assumed it was an honest mistake and called them. They said they would send me a corrected bill which would include the credit. Then they called back and told me that since I cancelled the policy within 2 months of the renewal , they would just keep the premium even though I no longer had the bike. I e-mailed the on line address and was told that it was a "strict rule" to charge for property the client no longer owned if it was within 2 months of the renewal date.
