After having used State Farm and Nationwide Insurance for more than 40 years, I made a switch to Allstate, specifically to the Douglas White agency. I was not happy that having spent tens of thousands of dollars over this period, I was often disappointed with their failure to honor claims I made, particularly on my trailer and water damage from flooding. They always had some excuse or petty loop hole as to why I wasn't eligible for damage. I have only been with Allstate for three years and recently made a claim for damage from flooding in my basement that required replacement of several appliances and recent drywall installation. I was immediately put in contact with a most pleasant and understanding claims adjuster, who quickly assured me I was covered, and got back to me in hours with a satisfactory compensation amount, unlike Nationwide who promised I was covered and then renigned on my claim. I received a check in days from Allstate and was able to replace major appliances immediately. Thank you Allstate and the Douglas White agency for restoring my faith in some Insurance companies.
