Unfortunately the reality of the course didn’t match the hype. $160 for a round of golf in October made me think that this would be a true 5-star experience. While first impressions were very good (staff, clubhouse, driving range, higher end golf carts) I was unimpressed with most of my day - other than the guys I was paired with, of course. The practice putting green is a relatively small circle with a single hump in the middle. Not very representative of greens on the course. Cart paths were a bit rough in a few too many places. The fairways were OK, but again, a little more tattered than I would have hoped. Greens were pretty beat up with pitch marks both old and new. By about the 12th hole I felt like giving up on repairing what I saw. All in all, I don’t think I would return to Baywood Greens unless I hear that they’ve done a better job on the details. Certainly won’t return for the same rate.

Incredible golf course. All the staff are extremely helpful and gracious. The course is awesome! The entire course is extremely well maintained. I highly recommend this course. The staff in the restaurant are also great.

I wish I could give this review 6 Stars instead of 5. Baywood Greens deserves it. For public golf, visiting here to play a round is almost like playing at a private country club. Yes, the course was booked most of the day on the Saturday I played, but the Ranger and Starters did an excellent job with tee times and pace of play. As far as the course and facilities, it is top notch. Each hole was well maintained and the layouts were challenging, but fun. For how much rain and hot days we had this summer, conditions were excellent for play. Greens and fairways were in perfect shape. Can't say enough of how much of a pleasure it was to play here. I would recommend to anyone visiting from out of town or local. Not too much negative to write about my experience here- from the staff, course and conditions, Baywood offers a great golf round! Can't wait to come back and play another round here.On a side note: After the round we went into the clubhouse for drinks and dinner. Couldn't of been happier there either. The staff was very attentive, the inside is like a high end restaurant with an inviting bar. Perfect for a 19th hole or a place to grab food after the round. Would recommend after playing here. Baywood offers a truly remarkable product for your golf experience.

Very difficult to find a nicer course than Baywood Greens. Each aspect of my round was 5/5 stars. Very well maintained course, the staff was attentive and friendly, the carts had GPS (but course also had yardages on sprinkler heads and yardage books available for purchase in the clubhouse), ranger had a lot of water for our foursome on the course, free range balls to warm-up before the round, and the course layout challenges you to hit precision shots and is a lot of fun to play. We got a drink at the bar after our round during happy hour in the clubhouse, which was nicer than some private clubs. Appetizers were excellent. I would recommend this course to everyone!

Dirty, unprofessional, overpriced, disappointedUpon arrival, our door would not open with the codes provided. It took over an hour for the staff to break into the unit. Since I could not enter my own rental, I had to use the neighboring rental which was being occupied by family members. There was BLACK MOLD all over the powder room! Does this sound like a pleasant way to start a stay? The light fixture in the master closet was hanging by wires. The air conditioning was turned to 78 degrees on a 100 degree day instead of a comfortable temperature to greet new guests. The sheets are not on the bed but instead packaged in saran wrap. Upon putting sheets on the bed, we found hair all over the mattress pad! Having the hair of other people on the area where we would be sleeping is unacceptable. The comforter that we would be covering up with was laying on top of all of the hair from someone else. This simply disgusts me. We certainly did not get what we paid for at a rate of $440 per night! They describe the experience on the website as “home and vacation all in one”. Our home is clean and well maintained, unlike these properties. Think twice about potentially owning or spending a weekend at a Baywood Greens property. The executive director, Lincoln Davis, dismissed my complaints and ignored my repeated calls. He only responded by email to thank me for my input. Unprofessional is an understatement. COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTED

I played BayWood Greens yesterday in the blazing heat. I can’t say enough good things about my experience playing this fabulous course. The staff ranks up at top top of courses I’ve played. Super friendly and helpful from the start and right down to our departure at the end of the round. Despite my bad play, every hole was a joy to play. It challenges your and makes you think about how you need to play almost every shot. Water and sand-traps fill your mind with thoughts on how to avoid them. It’s a visually stunning course and makes you think you are playing down south and not in Delaware. The landscaping and floral plantings abound which made me take many photos to remember my round. If you’re considering playing a round in Delaware, I would highly recommend this venue as a 1st choice to play. You won’t regret it.

This golf course is well maintained, fair and absolutely stunning. Highly recommend if you can spare the required change. The staff are extremely kind and accommodating. Complementary range balls (so get there early and warm up). Greens are quick, and smooth. It looks like they have a third nine on deck, not open though. We stopped into the restaurant after our round, enjoyed the best crab cake sandwiches I've ever had. 12/10, will definitely return.
