Be aware that the honorarium offered is not as simple as you may expect. You must agree to future panels to even be compensated for the panel you just completed, so you are always behind the curve. To be fair, as I read the invitation it does say I must "join the community" and I did not assume that meant anything more than taking the survey they were inviting me to, but it does. I read too quickly, but I have done this enough times to know there are alternatives that do not make it difficult to participate. Further, the time allotted for the panel is off by about 1/2 in my experience. Meaning, you will require double the time they suggest in the invitation. I did not have a good experience and part of that was my bad assumptions but part was a complex system that I think could be better.
