Client Review on Benevolus

Feedback:

I was just contacted by this company for an interview. While on the phone with Katy from Human Resources I asked her directly, “Is this door to door sales” and she said no. I scheduled an interview and did some research in the company and saw from other reviews that it was in fact door to door sales. I called her back and asked her about this and she finally told me the truth: that if hired I would start as a door to door sales person. I'm just glad I found that out and cancelled the interview before wasting time on it. Be wary of this company and those like it. They are trying to pray on recent college graduates looking for jobs with inticing position titles. I was told on the first phone call I would be interviewing for an account manager position, but again, it was just door to door sales. It should be illegal to be so misleading about the position over the phone to trick people into interviewing for positions they do not want.**Edit** 18 minutes after I posted this review based on my phone call, Dave, the owner of this company called me. In a harsh tone he demanded to know why I felt entitled to post this review having never been to the office building. I did not need to go to the office building. In fact, I feel blessed that I discovered the true nature of the position before having to waste half a day interviewing. I found it incredibly immature that he would call me like that, thinking he's somehow entitled to scold me for my opinion or that he could intimidate me into taking my review down. Here is a tip, Dave: if you do not want bad reviews, be honest about what the position is before wasting people's time. People will still apply if you are clear and honest about the opportunity from the beginning. It was just not the opportunity for me. I even explicitly told Katy I was not interested in door to door marketing and she went ahead and scheduled the interview anyway. If I did not call back or read the other reviews saying the truth about the company you would have wasted so much of my time*2nd edit* My comment about "Urban Walmarts" literally meant Walmarts in cities. The ones in the suburbs are less busy and more organized. That's all.
