My husband and I were referred to Bill Tisdale through our friend James Macomber from Maine Stream Finance for a quote on commercial insurance for a business plan we were working on. One year later we have our car insurance, life insurance, we do all of our banking with a savings accounts, checking, and today he helped us re-finance our new car loan! We can not say enough good things about Mr. Bill Tisdale. I know he may cringe seeing us come through the door as were always full of questions and “what if”scenarios but Bill and his team have been so wonderful to work with and MOST OF ALL... SAVED US $$$$!!!!! We don’t have the commercial insurance yet but it’s next on the list. ? Thank you for all that you do!

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Had an accident in my brand new truck with only around 10K miles, and the staff was very helpful in making sure I got paid in a timely manner. Follow up calls were made after the check was issued to make sure I was completely satisfied. Very appreciated

I have been impressed with Bill and his team at State Farm. They have been professional courteous and attentive to detail - and patient. I talked with Bill at length as I was trying to decide what products would be the best fit for me. He was knowledgeable and helpful in explaining to me what would I really need.

I want to start out by saying that this is the best insurance company I have dealt with. I switched to state farm in 2012 because of the amazing customer service and outstanding rates. Bill and his staff have treated my family great and treated us fair. I love the fact that I can call one agent and deal with all my questions under one roof. The more coverage that you have through state farm the cheaper the overall rate is. Not to mention if you invest your money in an insurance company that goes under you will lose everything. Why not deal with an insurance agency that is one of the most successful and best rated in the nation?Responding to previous low scores:These comments are completely unwarranted and to be honest if you are that critical I'm sure that you are not an easy customer to deal with either. It's amazing how someone can look at an agent getting to know you and preparing your family for the future as a pressuring salesman. We are all adults here if you have a problem with meeting an agent than do not go or if you do not want anymore coverage say, "no thank you". The issue today is that a lot of people look at insurance as paying money for something that they may not ever use. I even used to think that, but let me assure you that insurance is peace of mind. Knowing that my family will be taken care of in case of an accident whether it is a car accident, house fire, sudden death, disability etc. As for change in staff. I know at least two or three people out of the five or so that have been there since I became a customer; I call and say my first name and they immediately know who I am. Changing staff is a never ending cycle, anyone in business understands this. Did you ever ask yourself maybe they went on to open their own office? Always remember that not everything is as it seems.In closing State Farm might not be for everyone but it is for my family and I am willing to drive over an hour for any meeting they want to have, even with my newborn, because that is how much this agency means to me and my family and how well they treat us.

I have been with State Farm for many years, and unfortunately, the Orono office cycled through many agents. I've been working with Bill since he took over the office in Orono in 2013. He is the first agent I fully trust to give honest advice. During a life changing event, Bill took a great deal of his time to thoroughly explain my options for life insurance, as well as home/auto policies. His insight allowed me to see that other companies may have had better rates, but the "there when you need us" statement just wasn't the same. As soon as I heard Bill was leaving the Orono office, I asked to transfer my policy to his Bangor location. I have never doubted my decision to follow Bill. He and his staff care more about having a happy client than any of the other agents I have dealt with. Whether it's a scheduled visit or just a drop in to ask a quick question, I have always been greeted with smiling faces and offers for a coffee or water. I would highly recommend Bill to anyone who is looking for an honest, hard-working insurance agent that focuses on his clients' needs.
