This building is very dirty. I just hear that they stole int he storage room and I saw pictures. I used to lived there 4 years ago and I think they change management or something.

The staff is great, but specially the lady with short hair at the front desk. She is super kind and efficient. I wish all the concierges were like her.

Too expensive for nothing luxury. Not even good customer service from their management. The assistant manager does not care about the residents, she is terrible. I wish they told me that the elevator is not working and they were not going to fix it because it was too expensive

This building is beautiful! My husband and I just moved from Los Angeles and were hoping to get the same high finishes we had in our last luxury apt. We got that, plus an extra bed, bath, and up 20 more floors from what we were paying! The building is clean, considerate neighbors, and helpful staff. We visited a ton of other complexes and weighed our decision heavily on the staff. From the front desk (Shirley, Solomon) to the leasing office (Jack, Stephanie), everyone was helpful.

Nice place..I was looking for an apartment for just three months, fortunately I found The Ascent by google map. I really appreciated the service that Jack gives me and all of the honest things that he was tilling me about what I could or I couldn’t find in this building. From my point of view, I really like the location, big parking area, the building GYM and its view, and I like my apartment view as well.Some time I hear nose from the fire-station, but it fine as long it’s for help or rescues other people, and It’s not that nose really.There is a Metro station, Starbucks, Walmart, 24 fitness club, and mutable choice of restaurants. The price is reasonable compared to the others and its location.I’m not really sure if the building has a business center.Furthermore, they have service elevator with a great space.Thanks for reading my review! Special shout out to Carolyn Dino she helped me to find my first apartment here in USA. She is always super friendly and professional. Thank you! And of course I have to mention Shirley. She is working at the concierge. She is very pleasant and does everything she can to make you feel cared for. She always ask you if you are happy with your apartment , if you need anything let me know. Her personality is just amazing on of the sweetest person who I know. I hope you have a program that recognize your great employee. Thank you . Beata Vajko #509Ps:The Ascent Apartments are bright, modern apartments with a rooftop pool, a gym and covered parking.The building is 2 minutes walk from the metro and 3 minutes drive to the 24-hour Harris Teeter. I love this place! I wish I moved here sooner. It was hands down one of the best decision of my life.

It is the worst place I ever lived. I planned to move out at end of the leasing term. But I was noticed by the leasing office that I have to follow their 60-day notice policy, which means I have to stay here for another month which is $3400/month. None of us (my roommate) get any notification about that. They told us after we exceed 60 days. Yes, they have emailed us about renewal, but in the email, it is only saying "if you don't renew by the date listed above, the rates are subject to increase and your lease choices may be limited". So why don't you mention your 60-day policy here? I think they are waiting for us to exceed 60 days so that they can force us to stay here for another much more expensive month. DON"T EVEN CONSIDER ASCENT!

Shout out to Shirley, she is the sweetest concierge, she’s always willing to help. She handles packages very seriously and professionally, packages never go missing under her watch. She is definitely an asset to the building.

We stayed in this apartment complex for for over 2 years during during this time we ignored inconveniences like neighbors smoking weed, crazy parties in the req center on the top floor once even gunshots and police presence because of the demeanor of the management groupDon't be fooled by this management office. They are sweet to you until you stay here. They will recover their intro specials by over charging you on move out. We stayed here for 2 years in a 2 bedroom which had wooden floors. They charged us exorbitant even ludicrous charges like carpet cleaning etc on our move out

DON'T GO THERE!!. The building is nice. But the management Greystart is terrible!!... While i was living there, a shooting happen on the parking lot for drugs selling in the building. During the summer it was fight at the pool where it was 2 people injure and the police was call and people get arrested. Finally we decide to move out, and they GREYSTAR said that topstove was not working, when it was!. and charge us $800 dollars. When the newone is arround $250. so DON'T go there.
