I attended the recent Branding Taster Session run by two of the experienced Brand51 staff, Mark Guatieri and Amit Kumar. The event lasted for two hours, covering in detail such items as the why good branding is more important than just a decent logo and how clarity and consistency affects the overall character of a company.Before the workshop, attendees were asked to identify and bring samples of their current marketing collateral items for review - and this analysis was achieved within the open format of the meeting. The round-table discussion and an interchange of ideas ensured that all aspects of branding were given an airing.Some lessons learned were to differentiate, collaborate, innovate, validate and cultivate the work on branding and the handouts at the end ensured that modules explained on the day will be fully used in the months to come.
