I wanted to leave five stars but is anything really perfect? All of the staff at the front desk, maintenance staff and the office staff are outstanding. Any issue I have ever had has been addressed promptly and accurately. I have lived in this building for five years. The location of the building is right in the heart of Brickell with easy access to buses, the Metrorail and Metromover. There are many stores and restaurants near by.The missing star is because of the constant construction the building has been going through for years. Once the renovations are completed, I would suggest to move here without hesitation. That won't be until sometime in the spring or later of 2019. The heavy use of the elevators by the construction crews (all of the apartments, hallways, fitness center, pool, community room and building office are under construction) leaves wait times higher and the building common areas can be difficult to navigate at times. The extremely loud noise from the jack hammers from the pool construction in addition to the constant noise of hammering and pounding from the apartment and hallway renovations can be difficult to deal with. To be fair, this noise only occurs M-F during daytime hours ending by 6 pm. Take into consideration the construction issues before considering moving to this building. The pool will not be available for use until next spring.Update 4-18-19: The pool is still at least three months away from being completed and the temporary gym has many pieces of equipment that are always broken. Management has advised residents that we will no longer receive estimates regarding completion dates as the pool could not be open for an even longer period than three months. I stand by my initial review, don't consider living here until the amenities are complete. The building is slated to be under construction per the addendum I had to sign with my lease until December 2020.Update 7-9-19: The pool was promised to be open July 1st but it is still not ready. It's been a huge disappointment for all of the residents in the entire building. The messaging from management has been inconsistent and inaccurate at best. The constant noise from the pool and apartment renovations is close to unbearable at times and I am still surprised how disruptive the noise is after so many months. The website shows a picture of the old gym as the current gym is still in a temporary location. I wish I had some good news to post here but just overall disappointed with the unavailability of the amenities mentioned and the construction noise (still). Moving the rating to three stars.Update 10-15-19: Ten months ago this was the response from the owner regarding the pool: "We are just a couple of months away from unveiling the new pool and we hope you will appreciate and love the end result and choose to call Camden Brickell your home for many years to come." This comment is posted in response to my original post for your reference if you would like to confirm. A couple of months has turned into over ten months. The building is currently renovating the elevators and due to mismanagement a two weeks project has already taken months leaving the building without two elevators for weeks. I became trapped in the parking garage one afternoon while trying to walk from one entrance to the other. I was literally painted in. I tried to exit through the garage entrance but it wasn't possible due to construction on the pavers. There is a lack of oversight with the renovations that just leave tenants to fend for themselves. It's truly disheartening how horrible everyone has been treated. I highly suggest to look for another building to live in. Moving to one star.
