Client Review on Canada Border Services Agency - Peace Bridge Port of Entry

I love traveling to Canada, been to Canada dozens of times and find Canadians friendly and smart. Unfortunately my experience at the border was the opposite of welcoming. At the crossing booth, after I explained that my company does business in Canada, and that I am visiting clients, the officer told me that business should be done "by locals" and put me in the parking lot. I was asked to come and wait for additional "questioning". The waiting room is uncomfortable and out of 70s. You don't get a ticket ("they will call you") and no information on how long it will take. I was "called" in about 1 hour. Additional interview took 1 min and they let me pass. For what reason was I sitting waiting? No welcome to Canada, no explanation, nothing. Clearly, Canadian officers have problem with understanding how business between US and Canada works and need re-training. I don't think I will be able to look at Canada the same again.
