I was in a network group with other businesses where referrals from outside and inside among the membership were taking place. I was referred to Carolina Blue within the membership by a local printing company for a simple need of making my logo a vector file so it would print well for a truck wrap. As a business owner I know that communication is an essential part of customer service, and the contractor is responsible for insuring that happens, but from the start there was bad communication with Sara Thew. A deposit is a "go ahead " to proceed with work. I was told I would need to give a 200.00 deposit with a job total of 400.00. I was shocked that it could cost so much to do the simple task. So I started shopping around and found someone to do for 75.00. At the next group meeting just a few days later I found Mrs.Thew had started work without a deposit and she gave a first draft of a logo redesign, a redesign I did not ask for. All I wanted was the vector file. To try and keep goodwill with a group I had just begun with some two months earlier I gave her a deposit and explained that I did not want to change my logo. So now I am a little stressed that I'm gonna be paying 400.00 for a vector, but figure I'll get it back in referred business anyway. By the 3rd draft she at least started getting back to my original look but I still didn't have a vector file. I finally had to tell her bluntly to just forget it. To this day I don't understand how something so simple could have been misconstrued. Plain and simply a contractor has to listen intently to what the customer wants. I would not recommend Carolina Blue and will continue to tell others of my bad experience.
