It's a great chance to be immersed in over a century of history and small town New England island culture. Somehow it's both a high quality accommodation and culinary experience while feeling like visiting family.

My wife and I were there this evening for a dinner date. We arrived by the Casco Bay Ferry. Upon arrival the Inn had a waiting shuttle that took us at no additional expense. Once we arrived we explained to the front desk about our desire to eat there and the time constrains we had for the ferry off the island. They went above and beyond communicating with the wait staff and the chef so we could have our food prepared as soon as the kitchen opened. They then drove us back to the dock in time to catch the last ferry off the island for that day. The food could be quite possibly the best I have ever eaten. We are beyond blown away by our short visit and will be recommending this as a must do while visiting Portland.

Our son and now daughter - in- law had a very beautiful wedding at this charming inn !! Very accommodating , efficient staff . The guy who helped me with the rehearsal dinner was spectacular . The reception was beautifully served !! Great experience for our whole family !!!

Although the inn has cozy rooms and beautiful views, there were a couple of red flags that potential guests should know about. We stayed here for a night and were incredibly disappointed in the terrible food and outrageous prices.Beautiful property but I don't think we'd ever return.
