Client Review on Chicks In Crisis, Inc.
Feedback:
I am only giving one star because this will not let me give zero stars. I am not usually the type of person to leave a negative review, but I am very upset and taken back by the event that happened yesterday. I have been trying for two months to drop off infant clothes (practically brand new), formula and other nursing items. The hours of operation don't work with my work schedule. I called in to see how I could drop off the donation. First I was told they had just gotten someone to work until 5pm - when I called to verify a week later, they told me that was not true. OK stuff happens. So I asked again how I could drop off the donation. I was told by the person on the phone to show up on Tuesday since they have legal meetings on that night. So last night I worked it out and got off work early to make it in time. When I got to the office, some (rude) girl said, "We closed at 4 but I'll take the items." I explained to her that this was when I was told to come. She asked with attitude "Who told you this?" I told her not sure it was who answered the phone. She then repeated we close at 4 and I couldn't come in. I told her if she didn't want the donation I could take it elsewhere. She then said no we will take the donation but we close at 4 and started to repeat the same lines as before. I had to walk away so I wouldn't make a scene. I didn't even get a thank you! She acted like I was bothering her! I just want to give to someone who doesn't have the friends and family to buy them items like I have been blessed with. I know first-hand how expensive clothes and especially formula can be. I hope this review is taken seriously and management re-evaluates the workers they have. I have talked to a couple of mothers I know and they also received attitude when speaking with people from this office. It's a shame; we all agree that if this is how it is going to be, we will take our donations elsewhere.
