I can’t figure out why there are so many terrible reviews! I have been with Consolidated for the past two years in an apartment building. They are $20+ cheaper than any other provider in town, my internet has always worked well (for basic internet and frequent Netflix watching), and the one time I had a problem and lost internet (my router needed to be reset) they got a technician out quickly who diagnosed and fixed the issue immediately. Every time I call them I get a customer service agent quickly without having to go through a never ending automated menu. I am moving to a house soon and plan to transfer my service with them so I’ll see if it’s any different for a home compared to an apartment building, but in my experience, they have a local feel with great prices and great customer service!

Frustrating company to work with but they get the job done. Try to deal with the local people if you can. The country-wide 24 hour support is the worst I’ve ever dealt with.

We upgraded our speed from ~30 down, to about ~75-80 down, and rarely get anywhere near those speeds. Streams buffer, downloads take an abnormal amount of time.Every single night our internet is throttled to oblivion.Magically in the morning when I leave for work, it's back up to our normal speeds of ~80 down. I have everything monitored, and can 100% guarantee it's nothing on my network slowing it down that much.Keep in mind, it's not our hardware as nothing is rebooted/swapped/etc during the night.When calling customer service, it's always the same responses with no resolution, no matter how many times you call in, so at this point I've given up.I would highly recommend if you can get Midco, that that will be your best bet for the Fargo area. I'm looking forward to the day in a couple months when I'm moving to an area with Midco.

We moved here in May 2017 and rented an apartment that included internet access. I'm not sure if they intentionally offer poor service so you will upgrade or what. The internet is extremely spotty and the slowest I've ever had. I'm extremely disappointed.

Their technical support over the phone is great, BUT their field technicians are incredibly lacking. Come Monday, I’ll have been without internet for about 5 days. Been assured somebody would be out Friday to restore access and the issue was escalated a couple of times. Even told once they would be out today (Saturday), even though that couldn’t possibly happen I was told when I finally got a supervisor.Lots of empty promises and nothing to show for it.
