This place has been wonderful. Staff has been helpful and kind. There is a lot of paperwork needed, but it makes sense since they are here to help in crisis situations.

Been back and forth to this place for 3 days for 1 piece of paper. They told me I need verification of employment my employer wrote a letter to state I was working a local gas station . I went back up there to show my documents because this was the only thing holding me back . They turned me down because I just started 3 days ago and my information hasn’t populated in the system. No help and the sad part is I was sent to this place by another ministry ! If you need quick assistance without a headache and a lot of back and forth please go to SUNNYSIDE Ministries they don’t give you half the trouble and everyone is nice.

On my way for assistance and little on the fence judging by the comments. Hopefully they can assist. And just like that was denied assistance.They would rather me come back after rent is due with an added late fee and court fees. Wow!!

These people are so racist and ridiculous.i was sent home with zero food for my 4 children because I didn't have enough receipts to show what I spent my money on.plus they have no love for god..mean and rude staff..

My name is Dianthalyn Smith and I went inside the Crisis Control Ministry 200 East Tenth Street, Winston-Salem, North Carolina 27101 at 1pm on 8/30 I was interviewed with one of the interviewers and I explained my situation that I needed help in paying my August rent which is $800 with a late fee of $35 I had all the proof I needed to bring of what they asked plus documents of me starting a new Job on September 4th 2018. Me and my 2 children reside at Winston-Salem NC I lost my job Working at Walmart for two years and Today August 30th I sat in the office for over two hours for help they sat in my face and Called my Landlord and told them they were helping me with my August rent of $835 after talking with them telling them they were helping me they told me they are NOT able to help me I am a single mother of two and fell back a month on my rent I start a new job on September 4th and now I left that place very hurt in tears because they called my landlord lied to them telling them they were helping me and they did not they told me they could NOT help me after doing that. Now my landlord does not trust me and in a worse situation than I was before this was the worst day of my life now I don't know where me and my kids are going cause I have to find some place else to live after this. I was led on and embarrassed and hurt they gave me a card and told me to call and talk to Tina Adkins that was the same lady who told me she couldn't help me and she refuse to speak to me while I was there. I feel someone need to go to that office and find out why do they take people through all of this Pain and Jeopardize their place of living in this manor. This is wrong and putting people lives at state and this is suppose to be a Christian Ministry their is no God in this nowhere I wanted to report this matter because I am in a far off worse situation I was in before now I behind two months instead of one I have no idea what to do now other than cry please understand that I pray no one else ever has to go through this with them being let on and think it's OK because it's NOT I pray they do better with helping others

Great in times of need. This place will give you more food than any food bank I have ever been to and it's very high quality food. Two or three buggies full and you can come every 2 weeks! God bless this place

Reading the comments and sharing my experience, it seems that Crisis Control is stealing money from the charity. They deny nearly every single person but still receive charity funds. What is that money being used for when nearly everyone who goes there is denied for reasons that led them to seel assistance in the first place? I honestly think this charity should be investigated.
