I am go glad this family has cotinued to build up this winery and it's cafe/bistro eating place into another generation. They are really the only sizable winery keeping traditional eastern NC type wines alive. Real NC wine uses local native grapes that make sweet very fruity wine. Not gourmet but fun and true to the region and its history. The cafe food also very good.

To our surprise we were given a discount on the wine tasting after going through Alligator Adventure. At only $5-$10 the wine tasting is a very fun, inexpensive experience! We had a blast!

Nice, relaxed lunch. Beautiful surroundings and excellent food. Check out my plate - this is only half of a po' boy and half the fries. Shrimp were fried well and sauce topped it off with a hint of a kick.I recommend the grape hull pie too. First time I'd ever tried it. Interesting and yummy.

I had an amazing time at the Duplin Winery! The hospitality was excellent and the overall atmosphere was nothing short of perfection. My mother and I went on the tour and tasting , which was only 10$ per person ! We also purchased a case of wine ( 12 bottles for 80$) at a much cheaper price than at our local grocery store. They also have a cute and delicious little restaurant on site. It was a little bit of a drive for us... but SO WORTH IT!

I'm reading between the lines but all you people are throwing around one star reviews because you are in the habit of hanging around drinking near closing time. Lord knows these people want to close up and go home.I asked that the wine be carried at our store out of state where I am a certified specialist of wine and thank goodness we have it. Just sold a bottle. We have a lot of requests for Duplin Cellars wine. Y'all behave yourselves and you'll get good customer service.
