Everything went smooth at closing. But they put a clause in their to make me responsible for paying the previous owners water bill for the last three months. I got a bill in the mail 3 months after closing for a water bill and sewage. They did this to make closing costs lower, but never informed me to expect this bill. I really hate getting a $300 water bill for water I didn't use. The least they could have done is told me to expect it, or point out this "credit" when I signed off on the multiple different contracts. This is a classic case of fine print.
