Situated in the ex home of a general and built in 1826, this hotel has extensive grounds and an impressive veggie patch. Hence, fabulous food cooked with love and care. The staff can’t do enough to please guests. On balance it’s dark, gloomy and a bit chilly.

L'endroit est super! Entouré d'un grand jardin et d'un grand potager. ||Grande chambre avec une belle salle de bain, lit confortable! ||Tout était d'un grand charme : diner face à la cheminée, repas typique et délicieux (nous conseillons le plat typique : Lamprais et la soupe au fenouil, cueilli dans le jardin de l'hôtel)! Excellent!!!

It is a cozy 19th century bungalow, rooms are warm and cozy, the staffs are friendly and made sure we were comfortable. They even place hot water bags to warm our beds at night. 1 day is too short to enjoy what this house has to offer. Will definitely come back to stay longer!

Great place and extremely attentive staff. The rooms/night were a bit pricey compared to other places we stayed in Sri Lanka. Really charming property though.
