Absolutely awful. A literal monopoly.

I'm not sure why, if it's a training program there or just the hiring process, but everyone I've ever talked to at this company has been rude, dismissive and/or irritated about any questions I ask. I don't think I've ever had worse customer service or experiences with a company in general.

This company increased my bill by $22.50 from last month, and their explanation was"for the past year i had been paying the incorrect price, and someone just caught it and now i have to pay this new price of $81.50 for 25MG Download/3MG Upload", out of the goodness of their heart i don't have to pay a year's worth of underpayment to them. So now i have to pay $81.50 for the lowly 25MG/3MG speed. Also i asked the lady if there was someone I could speak to that could tell me why, and she said no one there could explain why.

Gearheart's is the most difficult company to deal with. I can't tell you how many times I've had to have techs come out and work on my internet. One tech cut all the cable lines that come into my house for no reason (brand new lines) and said if I ever got cable they could run me a new line. I had my internet upgraded and the tech that initially came out to install my new box didnt do it right and they wanted to charge me to send another guy out to fix the first guy's mistake. The prices are constantly bring raised. If any mistake is made it takes fighting tooth and nail to get it resolved. However, those of us in Eastern Ky have no choice because Gearheart has a monopoly on our area.

I once had to threaten to go my state representative because one of their techs accidentally cut off my service and they refused to accept responsibility. They can be really bad. Lately no problems.
