Currently, the airport is being upgraded. Hence, expect some inconveniences. Relatively small for an international airport.

Not the best time to make a review of Gensan Airport because of its current state, but I just felt the need to do one. Some sort of a wake up call. Improvement has been pending for some years now and it's very disappointing. I have traveled recently and it is very inconvenient to go to and from this airport. Even going to the boarding area is a hassle. The toilets are dirty and smelly. The new improvements on the arrival area looks cheap and ugly. I just hope that once finished, the improvements are nice if not beautiful to arrive to.

The Gensan airport is a work in progress. It is undergoing a major renovation to improve its facilities and amenities. It indeed has a potential to be another regional hub. With the ongoing construction, the place is a bit topsy turvy. Until it is done shall I rate it again. Good thing to note now is the availability of carts that are free of charge.

"worst" airport, noong dumating kami parang paatras ang development ng Gensan Intl Airport, walang pushcart na magamit hawak ng mga porter, pag exit walang pathway para sa pushcart, BUHANGIN ang dadaanan, akala ko nga nasa Boracay ako, walang aircon, summer na summer ang dating, maliligo ka sa iyong pawis, nahulog pa nga yung isang bag ng babae sa may malalim na kanal, swerte nya walang tubig. Ayos lang kasi excited ka pang makita ang iyong mga kamag anak. Pag-uwi namin... pagbaba... walang maayos or pansamantalang madaanan ang mga pasahero... puro buhangin, mabuti na lang at hindi umulan, yun lang sobrang init. Lalo lalo na sa loob akala ko nga Sauna ang napasukan namin at muntik panghimatayin ang misis ko... di na makahinga hindi na ako nag hanap ng medics, mukhang wala naman, dali dali ko na lng pinasok sya sa waiting area kasi kahit papaano merong lamig. Naghanap ako ng mainom na tubig, aba, merong water dispenser... yaman sabi ko pa... pero naghanap ako ng baso kahit disposable, wala! Paano ako iinom? Isahod ko kamay ko? Ilagay ko sa dispenser ang bibig ko?Nakakadismaya talaga, sabi ko may 1 senador ang bayang ito alam nya kaya?... kasi last 3 years ago ganyan na rin ang experience ko... ang laki ng budget for renovation pero parang ang bagal... grabe talaga! Sayang di lang ako nakakuha ng larawan sa mga lugar na binanggit ko. Buti nga walang 1/4 na star kasi yun ang ilalagay ko, ok na rin ang 1star pampalubag loob...

This airport still on renovation, thus compare from the past years, it has already a massive development. Hope that it will continue. For those who are looking for a cart on this airport, it is for hire.

Bare minimum airport. No air condition at Arrival and the baggage pick up area gets very crowded given the limited space. There are work in progress as they are working to get on the same level of Boracay or Cagayan de oro.
