Feedback:

This is a wonderful outreach to help family's in our community struggling in a bad family life situation.

Feedback:

A great place for all your specific needs. Staff is oriented towards helping those in need with lots of professional support. Excellent staff! The community of Brunswick, Georgia also provides their services and support in many different ways.

Feedback:

I would not be where I am today if not for the Amity house. I had never been so low in all my life. I was so very scared. They were comforting, encouraging, and helpful to both myself and my boys. I was able to gain employment and start taking steps to get back on my feet. This is not a place for ones who don't want to try, work, or do what needs to be done. They are there to support you but, will not tolerate ignorance. They split responsibilities for the house between all parties in the house and had many many different activities for both myself and my sons. They also provided counseling for us all. I thank God for sending me to Amity House because I learned I wasn't alone and I could do it on my own with the support they provided. For the ones that will take advantage of the support and help the Amity house provides and try, it will change their lives for the better.

Feedback:

If I could give zero stars I would. This place has a bunch of petty miserable women working there that have no interest ir passion for helping victims. They gossip about residents openly, and lie on residents to have them kicked out. I saw multiple women lied on and kicked out and one with mental issues was provoked into anger then kicked out. I was eventually lied on and kicked out with an infant and 7 year old in the middle of summer with no place to go. I was told that the shelter wasn't obligated to help me with a motel either. Luckily I have a family full of people in the human services field that told me how to file a formal complaint on these people because they are causing more harm than help for women and children. One employee told us that if we didn't want the expired and spoiled food that was provided, we should buy our own food. Most of us had no cars or money. Another employee told us the only reason she works there is because it paid more than the grocery store job she was considering. They also misappropriate state funds by saying they will take children on outings and never actually doing it but instead spending the money on themselves.
