Five stars for the dog park, which is nice and accessible any time, has water and poo bags. Three stars for the fact that there's no exterior bathroom access, so if you stop after 5, your dog can pee but you can't.

This visitor center is great! The dog run was a great place to let the dog stretch her legs when on a long car trip. The bathrooms are also super nice and clean and there are dog biscuits inside!

Stopped on our way south to make use of the Halifax County dog run. It’s a clean park with room for both large and small dogs and it has plenty of clean water. The bathrooms are well-maintained and the staff is very friendly. We will make it a point of stopping here again with the ??!

Since it is a visitor center and you have the great dog park, you should be open to the public on a highly traveled Saturday. At the very least have the rest rooms open to the public.

Finally, a visitor center that also includes a place for our dogs! There's a large dog and a small dog area, both fenced-in and well enough maintained. Places for humans to sit, no shade. Poo bags provided but bring your own water.

Surprise dog park!!!! So much fun! It was a great welcome to North Carolina. No lights, bring your own water and only partial grass (we visited in November) but provided poop bags and a great space to run! I will be saving this place and returning!

Nice little visitors center for the area. Clean bathrooms. The really nice thing is the large sized dog park / run that they have here. Great if you're driving along I-95 and fido needs a run!
