Great resource for families and individuals needing food, energy assistance and housing help. Just don't have a reason to interact with the executive director. I found her to be dismissive and condescending. The staff she inherited is Great and each member is committed to the demographic they serve, however.

I volunteered here as a teenager. I was not court ordered, I did it out of the kindness of my heart. The staff was so friendly. This is an awesome group of people helping those who are less fortunate and struggling in the county. I always read articles and blogs about how selfish kids are nowadays, and since that's true, I urge anyone reading this (especially if you're a parent), to get your kids out in society volunteering! It's so important for them to give back to the community. Not only does it make them more aware of social issues, but it also helps them to develop emotional intelligence. Although I'll be starting graduate school I would love to come back and help out again. I really felt like I was making a difference by lending a hand with low income families being able to obtain food. What you guys do for the county and the state of Maryland is wonderful, keep up the great work!!! :)

Very very nice people. They go above and beyond to help you. Especially if you are on disability and dont get much food help anyway. They give you way more then enough. Thank you guys for helping me eat. And eat well.
