The HCRI program is absolutely fantastic. I have stuttered all my life. I do not have any memories of a time when I did not stutter. Stuttering has impacted my life in many ways and I've made a lot of my life decisions based on my lack of fluency. HCRI changed all that. I now feel confident in my abilities to produce fluent speech. I no longer allow the fear of speaking to influence my life decisions. The program is very challenging and requires a lot of work on the part of the client. During your time in the program you will have to work all day, everyday on attaining new fluency skills. You will be exhausted. And the work doesn't stop when you finish the program. You will have to practice your new fluency skills every day after leaving the program. You might ask yourself: is it worth it? You need to ask yourself, how tired are you of stuttering? How tired are you of letting your speech impact your daily life? If you put in the work, the program will give you the tools you need to achieve fluent speech. If you want to achieve fluency, and I mean REALLY WANT to achieve fluency and if you're WILLING TO PUT IN THE WORK, then HCRI is a good fit for you.

I am a recent graduate of the HCRI stuttering treatment program. I can honestly say that I was very satisfied with the program and it's outcome for me. The program, when combined with support and dedication, can produce life changing results. The staff is dedicated to helping their clients and and providing them with valuable resources for after the program has ended. The program can be intensive and tiring, but this is what is needed for it to be effective and produce real results. While the program is effective, it's ability to help with this condition hinges on whether or not the client is willing to put in the effort, take the material seriously, listen to and apply input from the staff, and be ready to continue the practice rigorously after the two week program has ended. If the client is willing to do these things, then they will likely find that the program will be a success. If the client does not, and the program was not effective, then the client will only have themself to blame. This is an extremely powerful program, but it's potential can only be tapped if the client truly wants their speech to improve and put in the effort. If you are willing to put in this kind of dedication, then I would absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt, recommend this program.

I can say, without a doubt, that HCRI's stuttering therapy program is the best the world has to offer. The program is mechanical, practical, technical, and grounded in physical science. It's unlike any other speech therapy I've been through, in which I was simply told to "speak softly and calmly and hope for fluency." Fluency is the direct result of correct muscle movement patterns, and they teach you how your muscles are supposed to feel during fluent speech. The clinicians walk you through how to make each individual sound and you practice using innovative software that provides feedback when you have a hard vocal onset or lose the connection between words. I finally feel as though I understand the mechanisms of stuttering, and because of that, I'm able to work toward fluent speech. It's not a cure, because those don't exist when it comes to stuttering. It's a "speech reconstruction," meaning that if you put in the work and effort and do everything the clinicians tell you to do, you will be successful. It's a lifelong effort but HCRI gives you all the resources and support you need to finally feel confident in your speaking ability.

HCRI offers what can be called speech reconstruction. It is a 12-day intensive program which demands much work and effort, yet the fruits are well worth it. I attended the program 2 weeks ago and my family, friends and colleagues can’t believe the difference it has made in my speech, being almost completely fluent. Yet, I know I will need to continually practice, but it’s a small price to pay. I am profoundly grateful for the program and all the clinicians who have helped me achieve fluency. The staff at HCRI are warm, friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend the program, as perhaps the best for speech fluency.

I Love HCRI,s program except the 1 think I would rather have more days training on slow normal. Maybe like a whole week with slow normal along with outside activities.
