Fantastic hostel with a wonderful group of volunteers running it. I will remember this place as one of my favourites during my trip! Can't recommend it enough. Breakfast rocks as well!

We stayed in iguana hostel for 3 nights in September 2019. It was low season and the hostel had a handful of guests. With those and the volunteers working there, we had a lot of fun. Such a nice vibe. We felt welcomed and the staff were super helpful, for recommendations, giving us extra blankets etc. They cook breakfast every morning, all great food. The social area is also welcoming, with sofas and blankets. We also had a fake wedding party there which was so much fun.Highly recommend the place :)

Super cool place to stay! Very laid back vibes, super friendly staff and amazing location. Big spacious rooms, great clean showers (with good water pressure lol) and great internet speed. Quiet hours and outdoor spaces provide for a great atmosphere for digital nomads <3

The staff is super friendly and attentive, they even saved part of my luggage for two nights at no extra cost as I left for Palenque and then returned. This hostel is my one of the favourite in the World ! I spent fabulous time with amazing people over there! Perfect for solo travelers as well as couples. Great location, best staff and marvellous atmosphere! I felt there like at home. Totally recommended as the best place in SC.
