I can highly recommend Independent Music Promotions and James Moore, they are simply excellent for aspiring artists. As a singer songwriter I started off reading the book "Your band is a virus" and then joined their Facebook page. It has given me a well rounded idea on how to get my music career off the ground, along with tips on avoiding potential pitfalls. The articles and topics posted online are awesome and engaging.

IMP and James in particular are a GODSEND to independent bands and artists. If they agree to take you on, you're in great hands: for us, the results start pouring in less than a week after beginning our relationship. The amount of press coverage they're able to get is extremely impressive, and they're clearly passionate and extremely skilled in what they do.Our band, QVALIA, initially signed up for a month-long trial - but that's all it took to prove to us they're the real deal. Go to the press page on our website (qvalia.co) and see the results for yourself - IMP is responsible for 95% of all of our press there (at the time of writing, we're talking 20+ different reviews, interviews, etc. within a MONTH). We're talking positive-to-glowing articles, online radio placements, podcasts... You name it. (It's important to have realistic expectations about the blogs you're shooting for: if you're a new artist and are dead-set on getting praise from Pitchfork/Stereogum/Rolling Stone/MTV before even playing a show, a reality check might be in order. But there are TONS of fish in the sea and IMP sure knows how to fish!)If you're reading this, you already know how crucial PR is to your music career. I can honestly say IMP are fantastic at what they do - and are very affordable as well. Can't recommend them enough.Also, whether you go with IMP or not - definitely buy and read James' book! I’m an independent musician. After releasing my 1st album I realized how difficult it is to get heard and/or create any type of buzz. When I finished my 2nd album, I wanted to ensure I didn’t make the same mistakes and allow my album to fall through the cracks. So I contacted James at Independent Music Promotions. Of course at first you’re always nervous to invest your time, money and music into something you’ve never tried before, but I am so glad I did. My experience with James was great!
