Client Review on Integr8staff

Feedback:

A recruiter from Integr8staff cold contacted me regarding an open position with one of his clients. He asked if I had time that day to speak, with no mention of an alternative and no regard for the fact that he sent the message in the late afternoon, through a platform that many people do not constantly check when they are busy. After I saw the message, I responded a few hours later with my afternoon availability for the next day. He not-so-subtly griped about it, saying "sooner the better" but if that's the earliest I could speak, then fine. Again, the presumption that people's lives circled around him.Professional, mature business people would say something like, "I'm sorry, my afternoon is quite full. Would it be possible to speak earlier?"He also asked for my resume. Being well aware from many, many previous experiences that recruiters often solicit resumes for their database under the guise of having a relevant job opportunity, I did not send it to him. He would get it when he proved that he was a legitimate professional with a legitimate opportunity. The day of the call: Despite griping about "sooner, the better," he failed to call me at the scheduled time. It took 30 minutes for this gentleman to message me saying that he was running late, but would call shortly. I messaged him back saying that it was no problem, but that I had to leave at a certain time. His "shortly" turned out to be another 35 minutes. In total, he was 65 minutes late calling me. I was literally on my way out the door for another meeting when he finally rang, so I let it go to voice mail. Later that day, we scheduled another time for the following morning, for which he even sent a Google Calendar invitation. The next morning: He did not call me at the agreed time. I was not surprised. I waited 15 minutes, then went about my business. I had no obligation to wait around for a stranger who does not respect my time --especially when he was the initial requester. He called at the 20-minute mark, which I missed because I was away from my phone. When I came back 10 minutes later, I called him back. It went to voice mail, so I left a message. At 45 minutes after our agreed time, he still hadn't called back. That was it for me. I sent him a message politely thanking him for reaching out, but that I was no longer interested. Someone who can't honor simple commitments and show common courtesy can't be trusted with larger matters. It's a good thing I didn't prematurely send my resume. What a waste of my time.
