James did my taxes for years with no problems then in the past two years he has failed miserably. He has forgot to file parts of returns, I pay monthly for payroll services and he has not done them even though he takes his money, just today I received a certified letter from the state with a $1000.00 fine for failure to file unemployment taxes that was due back in 7/31/15. I moved over a year ago and after telling him every month that my address is wrong he still couldn't get it right. I was buying a house and that when the good stuff started, after years of the same names and social #'s all of the sudden they were wrong on the returns and they never got filed. I received another letter from the fed that said I couldn't claim my daughter on my taxes because someone else already did. Now when one hears this about stolen identities you freak out and after spending six hours at the holtsville office they found the error JAMES!! He filed the wrong name and social of my daughter on my returns. Then when I brought this up he said "oh" great answer from your cpa. These constant mistakes went on for a couple years until I had to leave and go elsewhere. I called him to tell him to stop doing my taxes and payroll because I had to leave because of the problems he just said fine and hung up. Now none of his emails are working and he hasn't sent over my info to new accountant, which I heard is always done as a professional courtesy but he has not done so. Please be carful of trusting James to get things done on time and correctly. To be fair it was not always like this, I know a few friends that I have recommended to use him and they all have the same issues. Again $1000.00 fine and penalty for his mistake I will have to pay for even though I was paying him to do these for my business. Thanks James for messing me up.
