JBERISTAN The Armpit of the Air Farce. More people here ignoring the Laws and regulations than anywhere in the US Military. (Seriously) If you can avoid this place do so. Alaska is great. Only blight on the Place is Los Anchorage and JBER. Think Siberia the American version. Where Careers go to die. Where the self obsessed Rule. Moral is a four letter word here. I hope you get the picture, if not you likely belong on JBER.

Nice base. Plenty to see and do. .. however recently the Baskin-Robbins closed but Google still shows is open. Big disappointment for the kids when we walked in.

Its better than a civilian hospital. I was on the army side and when my arm broke, and i had to choose where to make appointments, it was here instead of the TMC. Everything was much more exclusive here.

Post is nice. The housing is garbage. Make sure the house is perfect before you leave. They charge for the dumbest things and they make sure you pay for it. Unlike Irwin where you can pay to leave as is. Not here. Live off post. For what they taking for housing allowance is not worth the money. You can get a better place off post and pocket the rest of the cash. Trust me it’s not worth it.
