We had a spare day before going on the colca canyon trek so we decided to try the rafting. We were blown away by how affordable and exciting this tour was. The whole tour will be over in 3 hrs, so you will be back in the city before even realising you know it. Very exhilarating!!

We had such an amazing time with this group! Safety was incredible and the guides were amazing!! Diablo was so funny and made sure we had a great time. All equipment and gear was provided, even a little snack at the end ☺️ I was surprised by how fun the rapids were and I would definitely recommend rafting el rio Chili with kanuwa! The views were phenomenal and it was a perfect day activity if you have time in Arequipa. Thanks guys!

We did the rafting at 11am yesterday and can't recommend it enough. The agency was very good and friendly (their dog is gorgeous). You get a wetsuit, booties, a helmet and a lifejacket just make sure to bring a swimsuit and a change of clothes. The actual rafting is in a beautiful valley just outside Arequipa, our two guides were really fun, told us what to do and made us feel safe the entire time. We got professional photographs for 10 soles afterward which were also great. A good way to spend a couple of hours.

I did the Rio Chili rafting trip while in Arequipa and cannot recommend it enough! Jose, our guide, was super friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience a blast. He knows the river well and was happy to tell us about the Arequipa region. Kanuwa provides transportation, all the gear you need, and they run through a safety lesson prior to starting the trip, which was helpful as I'd never rafted before. What a fun way to see the area and the Rio Chili. I just wish I would've had time for the Rio Majes trip while I was there!

If you are in arequipa and just want something to do for a few hours, this is a great choice. We were picked up from our hotel, taken to get dressed in wet suits, booties, helmets and life jackets and then driven a short distance to the Chilli River. Our guide Ollantay was great fun and made the rafting experience enjoyable and safe. The sites along the river were beautiful and we were happy to get to see that part of Arequipa. We also paid $10 extra for the photos taken of our trip which we are looking forward to seeing!

My husband and I have returned from a fabulous day on Rio Chili with the team from Kanuwa. We have been rafting a number of times before and this is one of the greatest rafting experiences we've enjoyed. The entire team - from the office on Melgar in Arequipa to the business manager to the owner and the guides - is professional, fun, and enthusiastic. We were properly geared and expertly guided down the river. This is a fabulous way to spend a few exciting hours just outside of the city. There is an easy online registration form or stop in the office in town to choose your day and time. This was the perfect way to end our six weeks in Arequipa. Thank you, Kanuwa!

We had a great experience there. You feel safe enough at all times. Transport was on time and quick. They provide all the necessary equipment. For a small fee, they provide few videos and pictures. Remember to have some cash if you want to pay for that (10 soles per person).
