We were looking for somewhere to stay with 2 kids near Avignon and we completely lucked out with Maison Orsini! Stayed in the gite on site - charming little house (but with modern aircon which was very welcome in August), highlights were breakfast on the terrace with views of the Palais des Papes across the Rhone, and use of the shared pool in a secluded, quiet and beautify garden. A 5 minute stroll into Villeneuve with loads of great restaurants, beautiful c14th fort, abbey and other sights to explore. Also open as a restaurant for dinner 5 nights a week, highly recommended

Charming and quiet property overlooking a beautiful view of Avignon! Folco is very helpful with directions and suggestions. Many restaurants are down the hill and a 10 minute walk away. The bus stops on the other side of the hill and takes you to Avignon. Parking around the ramparts is a nightmare so take the bus or walk; it's only a 30 min walk. Breakfast is simple but perfect. Our quadruple room had 3 double beds! Plenty of room for our family. My only complaint is that we only stayed one night! We loved Maison Orsini and highly recommend it
