Client Review on Massage Heights
Feedback:
Highly disappointed with my "massage" to say the least. This was my first visit to any Massage Heights location and was a gift from my boyfriend for Valentine's Day; after some major stress the past few months, I finally scheduled my appointment for today and was excited to relax!Upon entering the spa (I arrived 20 minutes early to fill out paperwork as requested when I scheduled the appointment), the lady at the front desk was nice, helpful, and attentive so I was optimistic my massage would be just as attentive. I made it clear when I scheduled the appointment, and again on the form in person, that my visit was for light pressure massage for relaxation. My massage was scheduled for noon, but it was about 5 after before the therapist came out to get me to start; he was friendly, so I brushed it off.Once the "massage" started, I immediately regretted coming. The therapist was very rough (not just his pressure, his overall movements were very stiff, not at all fluid and relaxing) and he performed stretches and pressure - not massage - for the duration. There was minimal massage, which was the whole reason I came! I've gotten massages regularly since I was 18 (I'm 35 now) and have never experienced this before - I was beyond disappointed, especially considering I reiterated wanting relaxation. He seemed to know I didn't enjoy it because he told me to relax when he was working on me, and before he left the room, he commented that he hoped he had at least given me "some" sort of relaxation. Being stretched isn't my idea of relaxing, I wanted gentle massage, i.e. a massage!!Additionally, I was supposed to get a foot scrub add on to my massage, which wasn't done. I couldn't even address it when I left because the lady at the front desk was on the phone and I was frustrated and upset, not wanting to wait so I just left. I drove an hour to this spa with high hopes of at least a mediocre massage to enjoy and relax, but ended up with the worst "massage" I've ever received and a nonexistent foot scrub add on. I hated having to tell my boyfriend that his thoughtful gift was a horrible experience, and he completely wasted his money.I had high hopes for this spa, and perhaps other therapists are great (while actually giving massages, not stretches and pressure points for lack of a better term), but I simply cannot give a good review for this experience. I'm looking for info on who to contact to complain (management) to see if this can somehow be rectified because this is simply not what a massage experience should be!
