Client Review on Massapequa Public Library

Feedback:

Segregated library, I live in Massapequa I visited this library for a year, when I moved from California. A man was making racist comments, and the very next day my library card was revoked. I was told I lived in Massapequa but apparently not the right streets. I had to go to Amityville, but I don’t live in Amityville. It’s interesting all of the public services are so poor in comparison to Massapequa from the train to the library. I understand there are some areas in Massapequa that were originally designated for blacks. Very shocked that residents don’t speak up more. This is a state-of-the-art facility. The librarians were not helpful during this situation by the way.
