From the very beginning of applying for insurance on our home and auto, I have never seen or met an agent! McMichael only agreed to insure the house if we had it painted and the detached garage roof replaced due to moss growth. the house was sided with cedar shake shingles, so blistering and peeling paint did nothing to detract from the viability of the siding! After we finally told them we would comply, they hounded us for several months! After we finished having the siding replaced with vinyl, we got several demands to send proof that the work had been done. I even received an email from McMichael that said their adjuster had "driven by" and reported that we hadn't done the siding or painting yet! That was after the siding was completed! He couldn't spend the few minutes to drive in the driveway and do a "real" inspection?!? We're looking to replace our home and auto insurance as soon as we can. Highly disgusted with the whole ordeal! I've been a Plumbing Contractor for 50 years, and I have never treated any of my customers in this fashion!
