Client Review on Melrose Park Public Library

Feedback:

The parking lot has the old trademark Kiddie Land amusement park sign nailed to the library's building. I only noticed that when I drove around the building after we left the library. I also failed to notice Kiddie Land paraphernalia inside. For some reason, I thought this library didn't have a parking lot; I was fortunate to park by a church near the library. Turns out the side doors of the library is closed and entry is on the main doors. Upon entry, there's no one to greet us and felt a cold presence amongst the employees. Could be that it was a Saturday and felt like they didn't feel like working today? That made me uncomfortable. Oh well.Because of that, 1 star since I was unaware of Kiddie Land paraphernalia in a particular room of the library. My daughter and I proceeded to the children's section. The AWE computer game wasn't ready and had to wait for the password. For a Melrose Park resident, patrons can play leap frog tablets. We aren't town residents so I felt that place needs to update on noncomputer activities. While my daughter was busy on the computer, I noticed a lounging area for teenagers. Pretty cool concept and I wonder if teenagers utilize this area for educational growth or just to kill time to charge cellphones.
