The only reason this place is getting two stars instead of one is because the beginning of our experience was pretty good we got our ski tickets quick we were helped by a very nice man who didn't make us pay for the box and allowed us to keep our ski boots in the box despite the rule that they didn't allow ski boots over night (this was NOT made aware to us at all and we were not informed that if business began to get quicker they might not be as lenient with the rules) we came back our 2nd day of skiing to be told they didn't allow ski boots in the boxes overnight which is understandable if that's the rule that's the rule but the way it was handled by the staff was absolutely unacceptable one staff worker we'll call him ponytail joe since he has a ponytail went behind the counter and told us we weren't allowed to store the boots there anymore my sister informed him very politely that he would have to talk to our mom cause for the past couple days we were allowed to keep them there he then responded in a very rude tone that "they were being lenient with the rules and since they were getting more business they were starting to follow the rules" then continued on to say and I quote "correct me if I'm wrong but you didn't even pay for your box." That is an absolutely unacceptable remark to be made to a customer no matter how old they are that's disrespectful and that should never have been said or handled that way. (I understand it is your policy but if that was the case and you guys were being lenient with the rules please let your customers know from the start I am extremely disappointed by the way that was handled.)

Yesterday was our first time mountain biking in Mammoth. The staff at the Mountain Center were extremely helpful. They helped us pick out a trail and gave us all the details for how to get there and how to get back. The prices of rentals were affordable, and the shuttle to take you up the mountain was conveniently located in the back of the shop. We had two members of our group who had never mountain biked before, one of them ended up falling pretty hard and we had to end our trip early. The staff at the front desk were extremely empathetic, compassionate and encouraging for her to get back out there again one day. Although we had to end our trip early, we still had a great experience renting through them and will be back in the future to rent again. I believe one of the ladies at the front was Vita or Vida? Both ladies were so nice and we can't thank them enough for all that they did for us before and after the trip. Thank you for your kind service, we will be back.
