They have fun events for the community. It's real clean and organized. There's a security guard at the entrance and they offer free tutoring, ESL, and citizenship classes. Plus their DVD rentals are free.

Outside of the college/university library system, this is easily one of my favorite libraries in San Diego. It's quiet, the study desks are plentiful, the hours are reasonable, the staff is friendly, and power is accessible. Also, I don't know what it is about the chairs at this library, but these are easily the best desk chairs I have ever sat in, that did not also include a cushion. A potential drawback is that it is often very cold in here, so just bring a sweater.

Whoever labeled the category of this library is lazy, or either wanted to keep the reference guy relevant. Non fiction, fiction, magazine, and color books seem to be your only visible categories.

Naturally, libraries aren't what they used to be, But, this one had an excellent vibe, live music and dance performance... definitely check it out. Free yoga and meditation classes twice a week...yet to try out. :-)

Great place for whole family. They have weekly events for everyone. They also have movies on weekends. Go to the front desk to get calender. Awesome staff
