I brought my good friend who was having a mental health episode to this establishment and was treated very poorly. I was at my wits end with the situation and asking for help when I was told I needed to bring him to the emergency room. I had my daughter and didn’t have the wherewithal to deal with the situation any further so I left him with their trained staff instead hoping he could stay the night in one of their beds, they sent him back to my house in a taxi an hour later. ?

When I was unsafe with myself, Northern Idaho Crisis Center gave me a time out and resources that my own research didn’t find. It’s totally voluntary, compassionate and knowledgeable. Don’t be freaked out when you are met at the door by security. It’s for YOUR security as well as for everyone else.

Referred me to CHAS, who promptly referred me to Frontier, who turned me down for having no insurance. North Idaho Crisis Center was zero help. Unless you need a bed to crash, just do the research yourself. These people aren’t aware of the services provided by their referrals.
