Overall Feedback:

Northwest Iowa Symphony Orchestra (NISO) is a thriving regional orchestra. It is a fine example of excellence in the arts in a small community. Nearly every time I attend a concert I reflect on how fortunate we are to have big city musical arts in rural Iowa. It is also a great example of coordination between communities, high schools, the university and businesses. NISO encourages youth engagement in the arts and ancient hosts a youth concert that brings in many hundreds of students annually. It also offers scholarships for outstanding young high school musicians to advance their studies.I am proud of this organization and its impact on our area.
