Was really blown away by the engagement of the staff and the quality of the programs offered at this library. Excellent collections and great atmosphere for a quiet space as well. Their digital collections are probably the model for how a library system should adapt to the cloud/internet age. Looking at their young adult and children's sections, they have some serious talent. They're currently offering classes in computer programming concepts for young kids through YA; really inspiring stuff. Used to consider myself a library kid and they reminded my why I still am.

Absolutely disgusting library. They don't know how to respect their patrons. Heard there was a management change about a year ago which cleaned up 30% of the swamp, but the rest of the swamp is still at large. Mainly there are two trashy women working here who is bringing this library way down on the top libraries to visit and I have been to libraries all across the country and held library cards from multiple locations. It seems like they are picking these women right off the street almost. Sue and Nicole Hacket seems to be picked right off the street . They dress like trash, they speak like trash and they both seem to have a trashy attitude towards anyone who does not fit their paradigm of "library patrons".I worry for the kids and other women that has to work with these trashy subjects. If you have kids , especially young girls , please don't send them to volunteer or intern at this library. Believe me these are not the kind of women these young children should look up to. Who wants to learn from a pile of garbage? Also, this is where our tax dollars are going sadly, so that these type of libraries can pick these kind of disgusting uncivilized disrespectful employees. I truly wonder why the library is employing trashy subjects, when they can hire smart, "professional", respectful women in under a week's time! It's truly a mystery. Unless the library wants to keeps the status quo and wants to perpetuate a environment of hate,trash and disrespect. There are other women working at this place who appear to be nice, but almost feels like they are being run over by these women. Their silence is actually "enabling" a trashy culture and that's exactly why this needs to be called out. I have been to multiple libraries across the county and every single one of them are highly respectful, caring and have an innate tenderness towards patrons who loves to read and learn more about their environment and their world. But it's only at this library that they think it's absolutely fine to hire people who have 3rd grade manners and 2nd grade attitudes. Please note that this library has a problem with character judgement when hiring and thus destroying the ethos and we , the tax payers are the ones suffering for it.

Great library, but sometimes it is hard to find a good quit place. Also some of the staff can be dodgy, once I heard this one lady say the F word in the children’s section. Also there is this one older guy who is very strict about the rules, and unlike all of the other librarians, he makes me a 12 year old kid go to the children’s computers were I can’t even fit into one of those tiny chairs. But don’t get me wrong Pearl River would not be the same without the library.

Friendliest librarians this side of the Atlantic. The PRPL is host to countless events for children and families, from crafts to jazz, and all in the vicinity of tomes and tomes of tomes. A true community center.
