I just can’t imagine how much more irresponsible or corrupted the police of Perth Amboy can get. Thank you for making me hate PAPD even more. My family comes to visit me once or twice a year the most and every time there’s something that they go through unfortunately and we go through it on a regular basis. There are hardly few police officers that are fair and true gentlemen. My dad was hospitalized and being the doctor and nurse my siblings had to get there ASAP. I couldn’t tell them about dad because my family wanted them to get back to Maryland safe and we had plans to tell them once close to Maryland but their car got stuck in the middle by 2 illegal cars parked in front and behind their car with literally 2 -3 inches. They couldn’t move at all. I tried calling the towing company and no one showed up at all after saying to me that they’ll be there in 30 min and they (Harbortown A.T towing) stopped answering my phone after I called them in an hour to ask where they are. The police station lady who picked up my call flatly denied to help me and said to call the towing company because the cops couldn’t do anything. I asked her nicely to at least send someone to give out the tickets to these cars so that they wouldn’t park illegally again without even leaving space for the other person to get out and I got the answer “alright let me check” and she hung up. Honestly I don’t know who to turn to if the police is like that who are supposed to protect us. Us being the minority here are treated very unfairly because we know no one and everyone else gets away with stuff that they shouldn’t. I try my best to help out this community by volunteering. It’s been more than 13 years living in Perth Amboy but I don’t feel safe at all since the last 7 years things have changed so much. This is just one incident that I have talked about. Being courteous, polite, not curse out anyone doesn’t work for this town but I was raised this way and I won’t change myself to fit in here. I am glad at this point that I don’t support and would never support the police here.

Today, A car parked illegally in front of my car. One was parked illegally behind my car. It was so close we couldn’t leave. We called the towing company and they said “ We will be there in half an hour” we called them back and they never came. We called the police saying these people parked illegally and they said “So, what do you want us to do? We’re not gonna do something”. We tried to go near the car for the alarm to go off and we just tapped the window for the alarm so the person would move it. The persons daughter was there and she was saying we were damaging the car. She also said “What kind of hurry are you in? This is so ridiculous” I recorded her. Her dad came and moved the car. The police nor the towing company bothered to show up. Also the hurry that I was in?? I was visiting family in Perth Amboy because I’m from Maryland and we come for the weekend. We come every couple of months. But this is the corruption we live in today.

No logro comprender si un ciudadano llama a la policía,reportando desorden o ruido no actúan inmediatamente, se supone que se llama al lugar correcto para reportarse y según deben actuar por prioridades. Soy una mujer embarazada de alto riesgo,con una delicada cirugía y diabetes. La persona la cual contestó el teléfono fue muy arrogante y también me habló en un tono de mal forma y con mucha autoridad y hasta me colgó el teléfono sin aún haber terminado de expresar mi inquietud,como si fuese yo la reportada no la que reportó... Me indignó bastante en realidad.

Very rude everywhere, in the court house RUDE. Not professional at all... I had another idea about you guys but you guys just treat each other well & careless about other people. Tax money to the garbage.... u all are very rude I only met 1 of you guys that are professional but this police station is corrupted. I asked for help on a car crash and they just left on another more important call... said BE right back and never came back... they all are together with that edp bar in that residential area that city is so unprofessional!

Been at the station for 5 minutes and to no avail we have not seen a waiter or server, we have not been sat no one hasn’t even greeted us yet. This is by far the worst customer service I’ve seen in my years of dining out. Will not be returning here ever.

Hani Tawfik did some crazy illegal u-turn just to pull me over for a blown headlight. As I was trying to find a safe spot to pull over he put his siren on because I'm really gonna run over a stupid ticket. His demeanor & the way he talked to me was rude & didn't even give me a chance to talk. Comes back with three tickets because I guess you guys really needed the money. He must always be in a bad mood, I would be too if I had that lisp. You're a joke guy.

This Police Department is Trash......How does it take a week and a Half for a police report smh. West NY got my Police report in 24 Hours. Why does it take a week? What are you guys doing in the office all day.

Municipal Cowards. Don’t waste your time. The PD's office number ending in 3800 was dialed to express a concern and the gravity of the situation involving gang members/neighbors terrorizing PA residents. PD never showed up! but magically neighbors turned down their music right after the call and left. Just makes me wonder!!! They are just as bad using the court system to perpetrate their harassing, fraudulent, and deceptive debt collection practices. Stop the lies and forgery. This town is so corrupt. You should be embarrassed wearing that uniform and claiming you "serve and protect" the community. All you do is assign traffic tickets and harass residents. This is NOT the America or community built to serve as an example to the world. shame shame shame.
