Feedback:

Well what can I say, I have spent the last 12+ years of my life trying to get into law enforcement. In 2006 my brother an off duty Sheriffs officer was killed while rendering aid to victims of an over turned vehicle on a HOV lane in California. After this tragedy I strived to be like my brother to be a part of the law enforcement community, so much so I began applying to various agencies, after several failed attempts I was finally advised in 2008 by a background investigator that I needed more experience and suggested I joined the military, in May of 2009 I went to basic combat training to fort banning Georgia where I graduated as a proud infantryman. After five honorable years of service I was medically retired due to several surgeries and other injuries. After leaving the Army I knew I wanted to continue to help those in need so I pursued a bachelors degree in criminal justice, I am proud to say I obtained this degree this past October 2017. My family and I have even started a small organization by the name of Sweet Treats For Our Hero's In Blue, we began this on October of 2016 after officer Vega and Zerbeny were murdered while on duty in Palm Springs California. We have continued to provide those treats to various agencies throughout the country to include Show Low Police after the murder of Officer Reed. On September 16, 2017 my wife and I were celebrating our birthdays, she was born on Sep 16th while I was born on Sep 12th. We were also enjoying a PPV of the GGG vs Canelo fight. My friend form California was visiting at the time as well as a friend who lives down the street. At some point during the night I saw several law enforcement officers standing outside in my front yard, I proceeded to step outside and asked what was going on and why they were on my yard, I got no response from anyone, I continued to ask and ask and ask and no one would advise me why there were several law enforcement officers standing outside in my driveway, I was advised to sit down to which I complied, I then again continued to ask why they were in my front yard, next thing I know I was abruptly and aggressively approached by Sgt. Willis where he said "That's it your under arrest" I immediately became shocked and asked why I was being arrested. I was then grabbed and forced to walk on my rocky driveway barefoot ( despite my injuries), I asked the two officers to please let be grab my sandals, to which neither officer would respond. After being taken to the side of the police vehicle one officer opened the back door so I stuck my right foot out in an attempt to enter the vehicle, next thing I know all I hear is "that's it were not doing this" and I was slammed onto the concrete floor, I remember little after this, I know they first tried to pin me with domestic violence so my wife called and explained the law to them so it was reduced to a disorderly conduct charge. I recently went to court and the state basically laughed at the charges and dismissed them without prejudice. Meanwhile I lost three possible jobs, two with the county and one with Lowe's because I was injured after being slammed to the ground. I have been a long time supporter of law enforcement and continue to be so, however I feel as this department came to a scene expecting an arrest and were leaving with one no matter what. I'm a bald hispanic male full of tattoos, I guess they expected me to just sit down and take it.

It took over 2 hrs to get a vehicle out of impoud. Ridiculous! Be prepared to wait forever.
