Maplewood Library is one of our top picks for libraries to visit when we're in a crunch. It's conveniently located next to Maplewood Mall and a McD's with a play place, which makes running errands a lot easier on any parent. The staff is always ready to help when we've been in need of it. In the kids' area there is a bus for kiddos to drive, farmer's market and food (best one we've run into yet!), kitchenette, pretend vegetable garden, pretend flower garden with felt flowers to manipulate, and a plastic "treehouse" with puppets inside. The cafe located in the library has been closed the last three times we've been there. The sign is ambiguous, but I'm sure it has closed permanently, as it was normally open regularly in the fall. Printing here costs much more than at other branches, although I can't figure out why (at .15/B&W page).
