I interned at Rank Media a little less than a year ago. When applying for internships, I was seeking an organization that touched several aspects of online communication and marketing practices, an environment that would help me become more knowledgable in all of these fields, as well as flexibility given that I was a full-time University student and working part-time. Rank Media did just that. I began working under Emily, the Social Media and Online PR Manager, and also the one in charge of the internship program (who might I say is an incredibly kind, encouraging, and understanding supervisor, to say the least). I never shied away from expressing to Emily that I would like to vary my experience at Rank, and thus was able to also work in sales, SEO, project management, and so much more - exactly the experience that I was looking for from this internship. Moreover, they included interns in all of their client events, as well as made extra efforts on their own time to integrate interns to the organization. And most importantly, interns were always doing work first hand and thus were truly able to gain crucial experience in the field. Being able to work closely to the company and clients, I can attest that this agency does great work and goes to great lengths to meet their clients' needs. They are never satisfied with mediocracy, and are always seeking to do better, even if they've attained the "best."Thank you Rank Media for demystifying online media practices, for being attentive to my learning experience, for encouraging us to take initiative, and for always allowing us to propose new ideas!
