If you have to stay in Gold River for work (not at a fishing lodge), you can choose to stay uphill or downhill. Ridgeview is the uphill option. I have stayed at both. They are both cheap. They are both poorly insulated and cold. Gold River itself is quiet, so they're both quiet. This one is much closer to the only pub/restaurant.If you're staying in Gold River for work or need to stay within $100/night budget pick either hotel; they're both hotels but both cold and not great. It doesn't really matter which you choose.If you're staying in Gold River for fun, try one of the fishing lodges or Strathcona Park Lodge. But if you're not there for a fishing lodge or Strathcona Park, maybe rethink going to Gold River for fun - it isn't.

Spent the night here before heading out to the west coast on a fishing trip. Basic motel, but a fairly nice breakfast area, good coffee, and free wifi. Bonus was it was a 1 minute walk to only open restaurant/pub in town. So that made it great!

This motel is a nice place to stay. Beds were comfortable and we had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The bathroom floor wad not very clean and the towels were quite thin but they were changed daily. A nice continental breakfast was served in the Hospitality room. There is a restaurant a few steps away from the motel.

A nice comfotable place to stay while in Gold River. Our room was basic with a double bed that was very comfortable. Also had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Nice size bathroom with tub. The only thing we noticed was that the bathroom floor was not very clean and towels are quite thin but were changed daily. Nice view of the mountains from our room. Also they did serve breakfast in the morning and had a nice variety of items.

The Ridgeview Motor Inn is an older hotel, but adequate for our needs. Not a lot of choice in town. There is a nice pub/restaurant next door for lunch and dinner and the hotel offers a continental breakfast in the morning. Wifi is a bit sketchy but the whole area has little to no cell service.
