I interned with Riger Marketing Communications in the summer of 2019. Their base of operation is a beautiful space that reflects the work they do for their clients. My background was a focus on public relations with experience in communications and marketing from my previous schooling. I was able to contribute on projects for numerous clients. Throughout the process Jamie and Steve gave me support, as well as the ability to learn from my mistakes. Jamie and Steve provided constructive criticism to further myself as a marketer, communicator and public relations professional. Enough can't be said about the whole team at Riger and the excellent job they do. Riger moves minds.

I called this business looking to get an advertising agency to help me with a brochure for my business. The owner of the establishment called me back and asked me what I wanted to do. As I began explaining the nature of my business, he began saying names of other companies that also would be related to the industry I do business in, pointing out that they do the same thing. He went on to say that he does not see the value in what my business offers and was pretty combative. He then began asking me if I even had a business plan and asking about if I even had a budget for marketing....just an unpleasant very presumptuous encounter by the head of a company who is very arrogant. He then continued to suggest that I try to find a print shop after I expressed my interest in a marketing/advertising company to assist with creating the right verbiage to reflect the most professionalism possible...but he continued to suggest I use a local print shop. Everything happens for a reason and I wouldn't do business with an individual like this anyway. He then expressed that his company was not a good fit and the call ended. I was amazed and offended. I was not expecting to be treated that way and I have to admit my feelings were pretty hurt. Not nice.
