My boyfriend and I applied for our passports here. It was quiet and quick! Jean was such a sweet woman who helped make the process as quick and easy as possible. Would recommend to anyone needing a passport in the area to go here!

The library board has been in disarray for years. They own the lot across the street and another on Center - both intended as sites for a new building. (Both have signs marking them as property of the RG Library). I have lived in River Grove since 1982 and throughout my childhood (I was and continue to be a voracious reader) I would simply ride my bike west on Grand to visit Franklin Park's far superior facility. Not much has changed since the 80s: same tiny building, same limited selection of materials. Schiller Park and Elmwood Park have large, modern facilities - RG has never found a way to follow suit. Too bad - I'll keep going to FP.

This library is one of the remaining older storefront libraries from back when. It is quite small but amazingly this library has a lot for such a small library. The computers here are more current than most libraries. The new book selections are really good and up to date. From what I can tell, the biggest clientele here are the young moms with their small kids. Their kids reading programs are quite popular. Because River Grove is a small village this library seems to fulfill their needs. There is no reference librarian so if you are looking for help locating information, this maybe a drawback. But given its challenges, this library fits the bill.
