When it comes time to refresh – or, in Propel Nonprofits’ case, to merge – websites, the task can be daunting. That is why it is so critical to find a true partner in the process, which is exactly what Saint Paul Media was for us. All of our discussions – from how people enter our site to what paths they could follow in the site to the personas of our primary clients – all were part of Saint Paul Media’s site mapping used to create an intuitive, user-focused website. They were collaborative in challenging us to look at the site with a fresh perspective as opposed to just repackaging the content from the two sites. Jonathan and Tasha were with us every step of the way from the initial brainstorming to the design and launch. Not only were they valuable when it came to web design and usability, but in helping us incorporate our new brand into many online resources – and all on a tight timeline. They continue to be critical and trusted partners as we look at ways to keep the site current, relevant, and responsive. Saint Paul Media is with us for the long haul, and we are excited and relieved that they are. And it should be noted we managed to do this immense and intense project with some laughter and camaraderie that made the project more enjoyable. The staff that were involved with developing personas, reviewing design concepts, and testing the site looked forward to the meetings with Saint Paul Media, saying how energized they were by them. And as we all know, energized is not the typical word we hear our peers use when describing meetings!
