Sam just sold my old house on E. Vine St. and I'm very happy with all aspects of the experience. This was a process that took just about a year and I live 14 hours by car east. So it was important to have someone on my side who I had confidence in and and a rapport. During the closing Sam addressed multiple issues concerning the buyer, the bank the inspector, the house and (probably the seller)! Each one of these issues could have stopped the show but Sam's energy, encouragement combined with his many years of experience and local knowledge really saved the day. The first thing that I noticed is that he really liked my the house. This was evident because he picked up on clues that he noticed in the foundation and walls that i never did. I think he really likes his work. Sam also advised me to do my own work to fix up the house so that it get into the market quickly. From the shortage of qualified help in the area this turned out to be the best thing. Although he said it would sell in a week, it took 3 to go under contract, (that buyer backed out at 11th hour though). When the right offer came through almost a year later Sam took pains to keep the process going smoothly. I liked Sam's automated system which sent me emails and kept me up to date on all of the traffic that went through the house and when I visited after 9 months, not knowing what I would find. The house was reasonably clean. Sam is very successful in the Mt. Vernon area. My nature would typically lead me to someone less "obvious" thinking that they would give my case more attention. But since two of my friends recommended Sam I went with him. And I know it was the right choice. I knew Sam was very busy but he never let on and always got back to me in a timely manner.
